Frequently Asked Questions

PayRoute is Paywall’s AI-powered smart payment routing system. This feature analyzes payments and directs them to the most advantageous virtual POS based on the customer’s card number and the commission rates offered by payment providers. This way, your business maximizes earnings on every transaction while optimizing costs.

PayRoute makes your payment processes more efficient, increasing your business’s profit margins and helping you reduce costs.

By default, PayRoute operates with the “Lowest Commission” setting once your Paywall account is created, unless you make any changes.

PayRoute supports 4 main routing algorithms. These methods are developed by Paywall teams based on industry needs and customer demands, and the options may increase over time. The actively supported methods are:

  1. Lowest Commission:
Payments are routed to the most advantageous providers based on the commissions and value dates applied by your connected virtual POS providers, considering payment details such as card type, card family, installments, etc., to maximize profit.

  2. Custom Ordering:
If you have priority POS providers due to company agreements, you can order your connected virtual POS providers alphabetically or by your own metrics.
    Example: 1: GarantiBank | 2: YapıKredi | 3: RubikPara | 4: Vepara.

  3. PayBalancer:
When you activate the volume-based routing PayBalancer flow in your Paywall account, your payments can be routed accordingly. On your PayRoute settings page, you can select PayBalancer and route payments based on the listed PayBalancer flows.
Note: PayBalancer itself includes 3 different distribution algorithms. For more details, check our PayBalancer page.

  4. RouteTable:
You can configure your own routing map using RouteTable, which allows you to define all your routing rules. Then, select RouteTable on the PayRoute page to route payments according to your custom routing map.

No, PayRoute is one of Paywall’s default algorithms. It is ready for uninterrupted service as soon as your Paywall account is created.

Yes, you can make your virtual POS selection on your side and bypass PayRoute. The necessary parameters for this process are detailed in our integration documentation. If needed, our integration engineers are available to assist you.
